I pride myself on being flexible and accommodating to each customer’s enquiry. I have developed a wide selection of skills over the past 8 years, often tackling hands-on engineering projects, whilst still offering creative design generation, utilising the latest in CAD software. A personal passion for 3D printing enables me to advise clients on designs for 3D printing and the correct technology to utilise to produce a 3D printed model. COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN (CAD)
This is a staple to any engineering designer. I am no different; I have extensive experience of Solidworks and have used the software to create designs for aerospace customers, combat robotics and even jewellery. CAD is a fantastic design tool that I utilise to create the perfect design for each customer. My experience includes model altering, new design creation, preparing files for 3D printing, reverse engineering and technical drawing generation.
The hype around 3D Printing continues and for good reason. If you require a helping hand in creating a design for 3D printing or producing a 3D printed model, I am able to help. Extensive experience and wide knowledge of the ever-growing technologies available allows me to select the correct solution for each project individually. I am furthering my knowledge of 3D printing by completing a PhD in 4D printing producing cutting edge research.
Gaining a BSc Product Design degree from De Montfort University has set me on the path to produce real world products that solve everyday problems. Through my university projects, which included security, children’s toys and assisted learning products, I have developed an ability to create simple elegant designs that deliver. I apply this ethos to all projects regardless of the intended end result.
Getting hands-on with a design and creating a working model is something I really enjoy. Throughout my time at University I produced multiple models developing in complexity, including mechanical features and electronics. I have continued to hone my skills by furthering my combat robot creations. 110kg remote-controlled machines fighting it out for victory definitely tests your engineering skills to the max!
With my experience in the precision engineering industry working with aerospace rail and motorsport clients, I have gained the necessary skills to manage small and larger projects, from design inception to the working prototype and onto the finished packaged product.
